We will use your information to provide you with the services or information you have requested, for recruitment or administration purposes and to further our charitable aims, including fundraising activities.

We only use your information for direct marketing if we have your permission to do so.

Client data may be disclosed to external bodies to protect the vital interests of the data subject, in addition client data may be shared if required by a Government Agency.

Sensitive information (special category data) such as health issues, ethnic origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, will be kept safe and used within Safe in Sussex or in the case of medical information, with organisations maintaining a similar duty of confidentiality.

If you are a volunteer or other supporter we may disclose your information to official agencies to enable us to make the checks that we are required to ensure the safety of our Clients.

We may provide information to other bodies where we have a legitimate interest in making this disclosure or where we are required to by other regulations or legislation.

We take appropriate measures to ensure that the information disclosed to us is kept secure, accurate and up to date, keeping it only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it is used.

Client Data is helod on a cloud based system (Oasis OnTrack) controlled be Women's Aid (www.womenaid.org.uk)

Safe in Sussex utilises Microsoft Office 365 to provide secure email for staff and our IT Support is provided by Commpoint IT ( https://commpoint.it/)

How long do we keep your information?

We will only keep your data for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. You may request access to the data we hold about you and you may request us to correct your personal data when incorrect, incomplete or out of date.
